Lydia's mother calls and informs her that a long-lost family friend has died, sending Lydia reeling for a person she used to know. Sorting through Bea’s postcards, Lydia glimpses a life lived fully: bold, romantic, free. Then comes a surprise — Bea has left her a crumbling lavender farm in Northern Italy.
