Goofy plays everyman again. He's an average working joe who demonstrates "the up on time/work on time/bed on time" routine while going from work to home every weekday. On Saturday night, however, he parties it up and attempts to get some rest the next Sunday but with his son around, it's impossible. He insists Dad take him to the beach and, although Goofy refuses, he ends up going anyway where he gets into all sorts of trouble mainly as the result of chasing his son all over the place. There was Monster Planet and Bermuda Triangle. Stanley M. Strawn did both of these films. Also, keep your eyes peeled for two cameos from two stop-motion movies that the late, but great, David Allen worked on.

Strange Birds(cs)

The allegorical story of two humanized birds - father and son, who usually walk the earth and fly only in case of danger. The two birds are out for a leisurely stroll, playing music together and taking selfies until a hungry cat attempts to spoil their fun. After several unique and imaginative evasive maneuvers, the birds pelt the cat with apple bombs. The film is one of the jewels of the cartoon: the Czech tradition, Disney anthropomorphism and innovative pre-electronic music score.
